There are other lakes and quarries in the area that we dive, Including Mt. Storm WV. which is a cooling pond for a coal fired electrical generator. Water temps dead of winter rarely drop below about 55 deg. and mid to late summer will be 90 deg. plus. Can you say tropical West Virginia. Be aware that this is an altitude dive. It is located at about 3500 ft. above sea level. Standard dive tables will need to be adjusted accordingly. If we are are not out on a trip you will usually find us at Mt. Storm Saturday afternoon and Sunday May thru November. Before you go mid winter you may want to check weather in that area as they average about 110 inches of snow per year.
